Steven J. Olsen's primary area of practice is commercial real estate. Mr. Olsen has experience in large, sophisticated real estate matters with an emphasis in the area of commercial leasing. He has lectured on issues involved in commercial leasing and has conducted seminars with real estate brokers whose primary business is in the area of commercial leasing.
Mr. Olsen is a member of the Atlanta and American Bar Associations and the State Bar of Georgia. He is also a member of the real estate section of the State Bar of Georgia.
Mr. Olsen received his undergraduate degree (B.A.) from Hope College in 1981. He majored in business administration and economics. Mr. Olsen received his law degree (J.D.) from Emory University School of Law and his Masters in Business Administration (M.B.A.) from the Emory University School of Business Administration in 1985.
Mr. Olsen has experience handling commercial leasing and real estate brokerage matters for such clients as AMB Institutional Realty Advisors, Argus Realty Services, Cargill, CarrAmerica, Castle & Cook, Cherner Investment Company, Citicorp Real Estate, Inc., Cushman & Wakefield, Eastern Airlines Pension Fund, The Equitable Life Assurance Society of the United States, Gerald Hines Interests, Koll, The Mutual Life Insurance Company of New York, and Westinghouse Pension Fund. He has gained a reputation as one of the premier commercial leasing lawyers in Atlanta.
In July 1992, Mr. Olsen left private practice to work as regional counsel in the Atlanta office of Cushman & Wakefield, Inc. Mr. Olsen returned to private practice in January 1993 to form WMO.
