Scott C. Withrow is a founding partner of Withrow, McQuade &  Olsen, LLP, Atlanta, Georgia. He has practiced corporate and healthcare law for 39 years. In the corporate area, Mr. Withrow's practice includes mergers and acquisitions, public and private securities offerings, public securities and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, franchises, taxation, corporate finance, partnerships, limited liability companies, and joint ventures.

Mr. Withrow has authored two books entitled Managing Healthcare Compliance (1999) and Managing HIPAA Compliance (2001), both published by Health Administration Press, a division of the American College of Healthcare Executives. He has also published articles in The Practical Lawyer, Leader Publications' Health Care Fraud & Abuse Newsletter and elsewhere. He has received the Healthcare Financial Management Association's Best Article Award for articles entitled The 8 Dimensions of Quality" (2007) and Why Can't Physicians Interoperate? Barriers to Adoption of EHRs (2008).

Mr. Withrow has represented a variety of healthcare clients including hospitals, home health agencies, physicians and physician group practices, physician hospital organizations, physician practice management companies, consulting firms and cost containment companies. He is a member of the American Bar Association's Health Law Section and the Georgia Academy of Healthcare Attorneys, serves as a Contributing Author for Healthcare Financial Management Association's Healthcare Compliance Forum, and has spoken frequently on the topic of healthcare compliance.

Prior to commencing his legal career, Mr. Withrow worked as a Certified Public Accountant for a Big 4 accounting firm. He earned his undergraduate degree in accounting from the University of Virginia's McIntire School of Commerce in 1979 and his law degree from Vanderbilt University in 1984.
